GOOPI's Story

#A5768218
Say hello to
Goopi
, a 9-year-old German Shepherd mix with a soft heart, soulful eyes, and so much love still left to give. His handsome golden coat, dusted with hints of white, looks like a tall glass of frothy ale glowing in the sunshine, and while life hasn’t always been kind to him, his gentle spirit still shines through. Goopi was sadly owner surrendered and appears to have missed out on the care and comfort every dog deserves, with some hair loss and sensitivity around his back end and tail. He may seem a little overwhelmed in his kennel at first, staying alert and reactive to all the noise and stress around him, but with a slow and patient introduction, this sweet senior quickly begins to lean into the affection and connection he’s been longing for. Once he feels safe, you can see just how deeply Goopi wants to bond with his people and be loved in return. This golden old boy still has plenty of pep in his step and is truly a diamond in the rough, waiting for a compassionate family to give him the comfort, kindness, and devotion he deserves for the rest of his days.
