Good Boy's Story

Hi, my name is Good Boy! I'm a PURPLE pawprint, which means I will fit well into a home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:

-Personality: Wiggle-Butt, Affectionate, Goofy
-Can Live with Kids: STURDY, respectful, dog-savvy kids of any age. Good Boy has lived with young children in the past.
-Can Live with Cats: Yes, has lived with cats in the past has notes of occasional chasing but easily redirected. SLOW and SUPERVISED introductions always recommended.
-Can Live with Dogs: Good Boy has lived with dogs in the past and may be able to do so again with the right match. Initial introductions done @ WHS.
-Can do Apartment Living: Not recommended. Low traffic condo may be considered. Higher traffic apartments not recommended. (Up to counselor discretion)
-Potty Trained: Appears to be.
-Bite History: Nope
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Yes - one positive reward based private lesson required
-Energy Level: Medium
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: No
-Additional Information:
Meet Good Boy, a sweet pit bull mix who truly lives up to his name in every single way! Good Boy arrived at the shelter through no fault of his own after his previous family had to move into housing with breed restrictions. It was a heartbreaking transition for him, so we are dedicated to making sure his next home is his forever home. If you rent or live in a community with HOA guidelines, please double-check for any restrictions so Good Boy can settle into his final home with total peace of mind. If you visit him in the shelter, please keep in mind that his kennel presence isn't always the best. He can experience a little "stranger danger" when seeing new faces through the kennel, but don't let that fool you! With a tasty treat and a few kind words, his guard drops immediately and he melts into a complete, wiggly mush of happiness. This loving, gentle soul is the ultimate companion whose favorite place is right by your side. He is a master snuggler who dreams of endless belly rubs, cozy naps, and being completely spoiled rotten, just like he deserves! While he is carrying a little extra love around the middle right now, he is ready to tackle a healthy new routine. He would thrive with an adopter committed to getting his nutrition on track and enjoying light daily walks together so he can stay happy and healthy for years to come. Good Boy is ready to trade his shelter kennel for a cozy couch and a devoted family. If you have room in your heart and home for a big, affectionate softie, come meet Good Boy today! gabby
