Goliath's Story

Meet Goliath!

This sweet senior boy came to us from a high-kill shelter after his previous owner could no longer care for him. Having spent his whole life in a home, Goliath was understandably confused about how he ended up there—but thanks to rescue, he’s now safe and ready for his next chapter.

Goliath is an spry senior weighing about 16 pounds, and while we’re not sure of his breed, we are sure he’s 100% good boy. He’s dog-friendly, people-friendly, and has a calm, gentle nature that makes him a joy to be around.

He would be the perfect companion for someone who is retired or looking for a loyal sidekick. Goliath isn’t a barker, enjoys leisurely walks, does well on a leash, and loves roaming around the backyard soaking up the day.

If you’re looking to give a deserving senior a loving forever home, please consider opening your heart to Goliath. Complete and submit the REQUIRED online adoption application first. If the dog or cat seems like a good fit for your lifestyle and household, a meet-and-greet is arranged (including any other household pets and ALL family members). If there’s a love connection, we move on to the home check/official adoption with contract and medical records provided. Completing an application does not guarantee that you will be approved to adopt the animal applied for. If there is more than one application it is the policy of New Beginnings for Animals to match the applicant that is the best fit for the animal. We do not adopt on a first come, first serve basis. We strive to place each animal in a home that is best suited to their needs and the owner's expectations. We do not adopt outside of California.
