Goldie's Story

Hi, I'm Goldie! I'm a six-month-old yellow Labrador, weighing in at a sturdy 48 pounds.

My absolute favorite thing is treats, but chasing butterflies in the yard is a close second. It's so much fun to watch their colorful wings flit around, and I just *have* to follow! I also love my flirt pole – it's the best for burning off some of my endless puppy energy. Tug is fun too, though I'm still perfecting my technique.

The humans here are working hard with me. I already know "sit" like a pro! We're also practicing "place," "drop-it," and "leave-it." I'm a fast learner, if I do say so myself. Leash walks are getting better, and I'm even learning to auto-sit when the human stops. I'm such a good girl!

My first few days were filled with new experiences. I rode on the ATV, watched the noisy neighbors mow their lawn, and even saw those weird vacuum monsters – both the stick kind and the robot kind! They were a little scary at first, but I quickly realized they weren’t a threat.

I need a home where I can thrive. I get along great with kids, but because I'm still learning manners, older children or experienced families would be best. Also, I really, *really* like chasing cats, so a cat-free home is a must. What I really need is an active family with lots of time to play and train me. I have so much energy and a huge desire to learn! I can't wait for my next adventure!

If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website at www.lolin.org and click on Adopt, Apply for a Dog. From there, you can submit an Adoption Application to be considered for this dog. You MUST be an approved applicant to meet LOLIN dogs. There is no central location or hours to meet dogs.
