Golden's Story

Introducing the girl with the name that fits her perfectly! Golden is a shy, gentle shepherd mix whose beauty is matched only by her sweetness. At 55 pounds, she's a large girl wrapped in a thick, luxurious coat. She's a true blonde dappled with warm gold and accented by striking black face markings that frame her soft, thoughtful expression. She's truly stunning, but in the quiet, understated. Before you know it, you've fallen for her!
Golden is taking life one day at a time. She observes before she acts, watching the world with calm curiosity as she figures out where she fits. She's a gentle soul - soft, sweet, and sensitive - who just needs a little time and reassurance to feel safe. With love, patience, and a steady forever family, she's going to blossom. Her confidence will grow, her personality will sparkle, and her natural shepherd loyalty will shine. Golden does well with male dogs in the same size range but would prefer to be the only lady doggo in the home.
She's ready for a home that sees her potential, cherishes her tenderness, and helps her step into the fabulous, loving life she deserves. Fill out an application today. Golden is waiting for you!
**Hiker feedback: " Golden was aware and watching of other dogs at first, but was quickly walking side by side and sharing water bowls in close proximity to others. She enjoys attention and would lean into my legs when I'd pet her.
*Sleepover notes: "Routine helped to bring out her goofy and loving personality. We had a couple human guests come over and she welcomed everyone with open paws. She warms up to people quickly and unconditionally. She shows some reservations with new spaces. The household is child and dog free so we cannot comment on interactions with either. She did perk up when she could see other dogs, showing some interest, but we didn't pursue the chance for her to meet any. She didn't bark at all. Thank you so much for letting us get to know this angel.
*Additional feedback: "She enjoys being outside as much as possible, especially for walks and just sniffing around, though she is also happy just lazing away the day. Golden is great in the car and lays down and enjoys the ride and the company.
*I had no problems with her being house broken and she would always let me know when she had to go outside. She slept on my bed at night and would snuggle right up with me. She definitely is the type of dog who really enjoys just snuggling all day.

Saving Grace Animals for Adoption's Adoption Policy
All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccinations, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $395.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member. Our Adoption Request Form can be completed online at our website at https://savinggracenc.org/adopt/. An Adoption Request Form is required before setting up an appointment to meet with a potential adoptee or a foster home. Sending an Adoption Form does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. If you'd like to donate to help cover the cost of care for these wonderful dogs awaiting new homes, please visit the donate page on our website at https://savinggracenc.org/give/donate-now/. Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.
