Gloria's Story
**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. For adoption information go to: www.homewardbounddogrescue.com. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.

Hi! My name is Gloria, aka Glo, and I'm about 20 pounds of pure puppy! I'm believed to be some sort of pittie mix, and my foster family doesn't think I'll get much bigger than 30 lbs. Perfect size, if you ask me!

My foster mom says I'll do anything for a treat, and she's not wrong! I am excellent in my crate (no accidents & I go right to sleep at night!), great on a leash, and I already know "sit". I even sit nicely for my breakfast and dinner! I'm still working on potty training, but have been doing great when taken out regularly.

I currently live in a foster home with two other dogs: a large, young dog I love to chase and wrestle, and a small, senior dog I love to snuggle at night! I was really nervous when I first got to my foster home, but my foster siblings helped me be brave! I'd love a home with another confident dog to show me the ropes.

Not only am I great with dogs, I'm excellent with kids too! I have human foster siblings that are 5 and 7, and I love to play tug with them! I can get a little excitable, so I will do best in a home with kids 5 and up who are used to puppy antics (who DOESN'T get excited when their friends come home?!). When my foster friends aren't up for playing, I happily self-entertain with my favorite squeak toys: a unicorn and a hot dog!

I love my foster family, but I know my forever family is out there! Fill out an application today and I'll show you how much I Glo(ria)!

Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
