Gloria's Story
**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. For adoption information go to: www.homewardbounddogrescue.com. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.

Hi there, I'm Gloria, aka Glo! Is your life in need of a Glo-up? I'm your girl!

I'm about 5 months old, 25 lbs and I don't think I'll get too much bigger. This is great news for my forever family: I fit right in your lap! I am a medium energy dog who loves walks and rides in the car. If my foster family is busy, I happily self-entertain with my prized possession: my ducky stuffy!

I live with two other dogs: a large, young dog and a smaller, senior dog. I love to wrestle, walk, and play with the young dog. The old fella isn't much for play anymore, but we still snuggle at nighttime and I make sure he keeps his face clean. While I love other dogs, I'm not reactive when I see them in public or on walks!

I also live with two small humans: a five and a seven year old. I love when they play tug with me and most nights I sneak into their rooms during bedtime so I can listen to the story! I'm very good at gently taking treats from their hands, and I know not to jump on them. I've been around smaller kids too, and am very polite.

I am fully crate-trained and go in without a peep at bedtime and house-trained. I've been super well-behaved at farmers markets and breweries alike: my foster mom calls me the People's Princess!

Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
