Gizzy

Gizzy is an adorable senior girl who is still FULL of life and love! Gizzy is blind and will need a family who is patient to let her get to know her way around her new home safely. She has mammary tumors that we do not know if they are cancerous or not. Due to her age, the vet felt it was best not to test her. Otherwise, she is a normal, happy-go-lucky dog who would love a family of her own!

Gizzy's foster family reports: "Gizzy has come such a long way in a short time, and she is now ready for her forever family! Gizzy was found as a stray infested with fleas, matted fur, and gunk in her eyes. Now, she is flea-free, neatly groomed, and her eyes have been treated. She is feeling so good, and it shows. She is a hoot and keeps us giggling with her silly faces and occasional zoomies. We have 3 other dogs in the home, who Gizzy does just fine with. Gizzy is mostly blind but does not let it stop her from getting around. She will just have to take time to learn a new environment when adopted. Gizzy's favorite activity is lounging outside in the sun in her outdoor bed. She loves belly rubs and will turn over for them. Ultimately, she is an easygoing girl who is very quiet. Gizzy is kennel trained and house trained! We recommend she go to a home with mostly adults or older kids who know how to treat an older dog gently."

If you are interested in meeting this pup & seeing if they are a good fit to be a part of your furever family, please complete our short, no obligation, adoption application found here: https://form.jotform.com/mustluvdogs/adoption-application

Please note that the majority of our dogs require a fully fenced yard or secured area, good veterinary history and references, as well as a life-long commitment to be a great family for your pup!

IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED for a new furever family we require the following:

* Adopter needs a fully secure/fenced yard.
* Experienced pet home with verifiable vet references/history preferred, but we realize that everyone has to start somewhere, so all applications will be considered.
* Verifiable good veterinary history INCLUDING regular vaccination/visits and Good Heartworm Prevention history is a MUST!
* Adopter must be able to have time to spend with the pup and be able to provide the pup a safe environment to live.
* ALL our dogs are expected to be primarily INSIDE dogs. They MUST sleep inside the home. We truly understand that some folks have working dogs (i.e. farmers, ranchers, etc.); however, the majority of our dogs have had tough life prior to rescue & we wish to ensure they are showered with LUV & maybe even a bit spoiled for the rest of their lives.

APPLY HERE: https://form.jotform.com/mustluvdogs/adoption-application

Other facts are also considered, including whether children or other pets are a good fit with the dog.

Must Luv Dogs Rescue reserves the right to deny any applications that we don't think are a good fit with the pup. Our first & foremost concern is the dog's best interest. It is our MISSION to place them in a home that is a great fit for their needs for a lifetime of luv & being part of a family.

*We will consider adoptions in any area; however, will do not ship or transport a puppy under the age of 12 mos. We will ONLY transport an adult dog on a transport approved by MLD, at adopter's expense.

Please note that all of our pets are in private foster homes. In order to reduce any stress or confusion for our pups, we require a completed, approved application BEFORE setting up a meeting for any of fur-babies. Alternatively, you are always welcome to come meet any of our pups at one of our regular Adoption Events. They are always posted on PetFinder OR on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/mustLUVdogs.org.

Finally, THANK YOU for considering Must Luv Dogs for your next pet.

NOTES:
*Most dogs require a fenced area in yard.
*Apartments may be okay for certain breeds IF nearby dog park or walking trails.
*ALL dogs must be INSIDE dogs.
*We are a DUE DILIGENCE Adoption Rescue.
*Must have good Vet history & Heartworm prevention is a MUST!
*ALL dogs are fully vetted, spay/neutered and microchipped.
