A charming little Yorkie-poodle mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality packed into a fuzzy black coat with adorable white markings on his belly. This sweet boy may be small, but he's overflowing with affection once he feels comfortable - and with a few treats you can certainly help win him over!<br/><br/>Gizmo is thriving in foster care and has shown what a well-mannered gentleman can be. At night, he sleeps in a crate but wants to be close to his people to feel safe. He keeps his blankets tidy, settles in nicely over time and has no accidents in his crate. He's also doing very well with potty training, holding it until he gets outside, with only one accident on his first day of foster care.<br/><br/>While toys aren't his main interest, Gizmo is incredibly respectful when he does play, keeping his toys intact. He's gentle and never chews on things he shouldn't. Shoes and furniture are safe with him around! With Gizmo's love for food, treats are a great way to his heart. Being highly food motivated and enthusiastic about treats, he's a great dog for continued training.<br/><br/>On walks, Gizmo is a polite leash companion who does not pull. Although he does enjoy stopping to sniff and take in the world at his own pace. He may take some time to get used to new people, but once he trusts you, he's a loyal shadow who loves to follow his favorite humans around. He responds quite well to his name and absolutely adores snuggles, belly rubs and of course treats!<br/><br/>Gizmo can be a bit vocal when other dogs bark or if he's left alone in his crate. He also can be a bit nervous around newer dogs who are bigger than he is, but he has successfully lived with a bigger dog in his foster care and could do well with the right canine companion and slow introductions.<br/><br/>If you are looking for a gentle, loving little companion who will happily curl up beside you and shower you with affection once he feels safe. Gizmo may be the perfect match for you!
