Gizmo's Story

Meatball #1MEET GIZMO!

He’s chill. He’s cute. He’s unflappable. He’s dog friendly. He’s hoping you have a rancher/rambler style home because he’s not a fan of stairs, but can you blame him? He’s built like a wheelbarrow with his hind quarters being higher than his front. But he’s cuddly and the sweetest happy-go-lucky pup who doesn’t know he’s wonky.

We don’t know his background, and there’s no point in guessing. But we can say that whatever it was he ended up as a stray and no one claimed him or his traveling buddy Meatball #2. However, in the short week he’s been in foster care, he’s demonstrated resiliency and an ability to adapt. He’s settled in right away and sleeps great through the night, he almost got the potty thing down, and he’s made immediate friends with every dog and human alike that he’s met - and that’s been a lot of both variety! He has handled it all in his wonky little stride, and even learned how to paint (ok, it might have been paint by numbers, but it’s still impressive

Gizmo’s ideal home is one with:
- humans (of any age over the tea-cup variety) that like squishy-faced dogs that like to cuddle and be a couch potato, (adventure dog, he is NOT!)
- other dogs - or not (he doesn’t need to have them, he’s just perfectly fine with other dogs of all sizes),
- not a lot of stairs that he has to navigate.

He’s quirky and adorable. He’s young (about 1?) and has the rest of his days to be a man of leisure on your couch. He likes to pee on concrete because, you know, grass is icky.

Gizmo’s adoption donation fee is $450, which includes spay/neuter, routine vetting and a microchip. If his specific breed (which is unknown, by the way) of wonky cuteness is your type, you can apply for him by filling out our online application tarashouse.org. Please email us at info@tarashouse.net with any questions.
