Gizmo's Story

Meet Gizmo! He pulled on the rescuers at Molly's Mutts heart-strings when we first saw him shaking, cold, and huddled in a corner at a high-kill shelter. We could not even see this poor baby's eyes because his hair was so overgrown in his face. After Gizmo was rescued by Molly's Mutts, we immediately gave him a grooming. It was most likely the first bath and groom this poor puppy had ever seen and his groom revealed multiple puncture wounds and bite marks from the other dogs at the high-kill shelter. Also, he had 1-2mm corneal ulcers in his eyes, due to the lack of care for his hair constantly being in his eyes. The vet immediately started Gizmo on oral antibiotics to treat his bite marks all over body and antibiotic eye drops to try to heal the corneal lesions.
