Girl's Story

My name is Girl, and I'm a 5-year-old sweetheart weighing 21 pounds. In my five years, I wish I could tell you where I've been and everything I've been through. What I do know is that I spent four long months lost and on the run before the wonderful people at ARNO finally brought me to safety. They never gave up on me, and now I'm ready for my happily ever after.

I'm a very shy girl, and because of my past, I'll need a patient family who understands that trust takes time. I'd do best in a home with another friendly, confident dog who can show me that the world isn't so scary. I absolutely love other dogs, and having a canine companion helps me feel safe, comfortable, and happy.

Because I was lost for so long, I am considered a flight risk, so I'll need a secure home and a family committed to keeping me safe while I continue to build my confidence.

With love, patience, and a furry best friend by my side, I know I'll blossom into the loyal companion I've always wanted to be.

Could you be the one to give me the second chance I've been waiting for?________________________________________________

If you would like to meet one of our adoptables or learn more about them, please submit an application at https://animalrescueneworleans.org/adoptfoster/.

**Note: Our shelter is open by scheduled appointment only after your application is approved.
