Gipsy's Story

NOTE: THIS IS AN "OUT OF TOWN PET" - that means she is not at this location, but we do have transport here - more about transport below. Our Rescue is Houston based (https://www.facebook.com/TwilightTailsRescue) and all our fosters and Rescue Ranch are in and around Houston.
___________________________________________________________________________________

Gipsy — Your Loyal, Loving Companion

Gipsy is a 2–3 year old, 35lb German Pinscher x Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her personality. Sleek, athletic, and expressive, she’s the perfect blend of Pinscher agility and Shepherd devotion — smart, sensitive, and deeply bonded to her people.

Personality & Temperament
Gipsy is friendly with men, women, kids (although she has not lived with kids as far as we know), dogs, and even cats. She greets new people with a happy tail and loose, confident body language, always ready for affection. Like many German Pinschers, she’s alert, intuitive, and people-oriented, while her Shepherd side gives her a gentle, loyal, protective nature without a hint of aggression. She’s social, affectionate, and wonderfully attuned to human emotions — the kind of dog who stays close, checks in often, and wants to be part of your daily rhythm.

Training & Manners
She’s housetrained, crate-trained, and leash-trained, and knows sit, stay, down, and heel. Gipsy is agile and athletic — she loves fetch, water play, and chasing squirrels — but she’s also calm and content indoors. True to her breed mix, she’s highly trainable, eager to please, and responsive to direction, making her a joy to live with.

Her Story
Gipsy’s loyalty runs deep. When her elderly owner passed away, she stayed faithfully by her side until help arrived 3 days later. Since entering foster care, she has blossomed — showing her playful spirit, her gentle heart, and her remarkable ability to bond with people and animals alike. She sleeps beside cats, plays beautifully with dogs of all sizes, and settles easily when reassured.

Ideal Home
Gipsy would thrive in a home with a yard where she can stretch her legs and enjoy her athletic side. She’s adaptable — wonderful for families, active adults, or seniors seeking a devoted companion. She does have mild separation anxiety, so a home that offers structure, companionship, and patience will help her feel secure.

Why You’ll Love Her
Gipsy is the best of both worlds: the bright, agile, affectionate Pinscher and the loyal, intuitive, steady Shepherd. She’ll make you laugh with her antics, comfort you when you’re down, and stay faithfully by your side. Whether she’s playing fetch, curling up at your feet, or snoozing beside your bed, she’ll remind you daily what unconditional love feels like.

Gipsy is ready for her forever family — and she’s ready to give her whole heart.
___________________________________________________________________________________

NOTE: THIS IS AN "OUT OF TOWN PET" - that means she is not at this location, but we do have transport here - more about transport below. Transport means dogs are carefully and thoughtfully moved via scheduled air conditioned/heated vans from our doggy ranch in Fulshear, TX to a location near you. Each transport consists of a team of two drivers who can alternate. This is how we communicate in real time. The driver who is not driving, will be updating the group chat. You will be included in this group chat to track your dog through transport. You will also be given exact location and scheduled time of arrival. Our drivers do everything possible to run on time however, things such as traffic, weather etc. can affect arrival time. You will be updated regarding delays or possible early arrival. Keep in mind, dogs on transport stop for bathroom, walk and food breaks. For safety, all dogs are crated during transport.

We use what we think is the best dog transport service in the region and have for years - Andrea and her crew really offer first class transport.
