Ginger's Story

Hi, I'm Ginger!

First thing you should know about me is I love dogs—all of them! Especially my three foster brothers. Being around them makes everything better, and wherever they go, I go too. I haven't quite figured out this whole leash-walking thing yet, but that's okay, because I don't need one to know where I belong: right alongside my brothers and my human, following along wherever the day takes us.

It takes me a minute to warm up to new people, but I'm learning that they really aren't so bad. Once I get to know you, I like when you pet me or give me ear scratches and belly rubs. I can stand real still while I'm getting checked for ticks and I don't even mind if you touch my feet. When you offer me a treat, I take it very gently. Speaking of treats, I'm still figuring out what "rewards" are (and toys too). But the more time I spend around my new brothers and mom, the more I learn how great these things are and want to do what I'm asked so I can have more!

Playing outside is my favorite thing in the world, especially with my big brothers. It's great to roll around in the grass and get all dirty, but I don't mind these things called "baths". To be honest, I like the water a lot - especially on these hot days! And if there's one thing you should know about me, it's this: I don't have an aggressive bone in my body.

I'm just the sweetest girl with dogs and people alike! It's going to take me a little bit to come out of my shell, but I can't wait to find out what the rest of the world has in store for me.

Please include your home area code and a phone number where a volunteer can reach you when contacting us about an adoption.

For more information on this dog and our adoption policies, visit MAGDRL at https://www.magdrl.org.
