Ginger's Story

Meet Ginger, a 2-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix who came in as a city stray and is now looking for her new forever home. Ginger is curious, playful and nosy. She has to know what you're doing, what you have and investigate every scent and sound. She knows sit, walks well on the leash, eager to learn, and wants all the treats. She's very energetic, so she will thrive with a family who can keep her mind stimulated. If you're looking to laugh multiple times a day, this girl is for you. Come meet Ginger today. Before going home, she will be spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated.

Ginger A0060910573, heartworm negative, not spayed, 55 pounds

Caddo Parish Animal Services's Adoption Policy
We have many great pets available for adoption at our shelter and during our offsite adoption events. We welcome you to visit our animals and adopt a pet today! There is no resident location requirement to adopt a pet from us. We have a friendly staff that will assist you in locating a compatible pet for your home and family. To adopt a pet you simply fill out an adoption application and contract. The contract is a promise from you that you will provide your new pet with a great home where it will be loved and provided for. All of our adoption pets have undergone a health exam and are current on all vaccinations. The adult animals have been Rabies vaccinated and go out with a rabies tag. To support our mission, our adult animals are spayed or neutered before adoption. Potential pet adopters must conduct a meet and greet with desired animal prior to completing the adoption process. This information provides staff with a better understanding of the pet adopter's past animal history, their expectations for a pet, lifestyle, and the environment in which a new animal would be placed.
