Gigi's Story

Gigi is a nearly 7-year-old sweetheart weighing just under 14 pounds. She came to Underdog in very rough shape with severe matting, suggesting she may have been kept confined or without proper grooming for some time. She’s since been shaved down to help her start fresh, and as her coat grows back, she will need regular professional grooming—or an owner committed to maintaining her coat at home. Like many dogs, Gigi isn’t a fan of having her face trimmed, so patience and consistency will be key.

Despite her past, Gigi has a loving and gentle personality. She enjoys cuddles, toys, treats, and especially bully sticks. She’s been doing well with pee pad training and is also enjoying going on leashed walks as she continues to build her housetraining skills.

Gigi sleeps in a crate at night and when left alone and does just fine, but she would much prefer to snuggle up in bed with her person if given the chance. She knows basic commands like sit and stay, showing she’s had some training in the past.

Around other dogs, Gigi can be a bit feisty and vocal, likely due to limited socialization and being used to life as an only dog. With guidance and patience, she has the potential to continue improving.

Gigi is spayed, up to date on all vaccinations and preventatives, and ready to find a loving home where she can be cherished and properly cared for.

Adoption $500

All UnderDogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm checked, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and heartworm/flea/tick preventatives.
