Say Hello to Gigi!!<br/><br/>Gigi is a seven month old Shepherd mix with a story that shows just how resilient a little heart can be. She was found as a stray in Bakersfield after being hit by a car, and she came to the shelter with a long laceration over her eye that needed stitches and careful treatment. She did lose some vision in that eye and it left her with a permanent scar, but you would never know it watching her move through the world. That bright spark of puppy energy never left her, and she is proof that a rough start does not have to define what comes next.<br/><br/>Gigi is a little shy when she first meets someone new, and she may take a moment to warm up, but after a few minutes you will see a happy and confident dog. She quickly transforms into the most affectionate, devoted companion, covering you in hugs and kisses and sticking close by your side like she never wants to let you go! Gigi is a bouncy, playful puppy who loves other dogs and would likely do wonderfully with a dog friendly cat too. She has not been tested around children yet, but we believe she would thrive with kids.<br/><br/>Gigi is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to find the family who will love her through every part of who she is. She would do best in an active home with another dog to be her lifelong friend, and with people who have a lot of love to share.
