Gigantico's Story
We advise all adopters to expect the 3-3-3 rule as a general guideline for introducing a pet to the home: 3 days to decompress (will show nervousness, hiding, reduced appetite), 3 weeks to settle into a routine (beginning to explore and showing personality), and 3 months to build trust and feel fully comfortable in their new home. This period may be longer for shy or extremely scared animals.

Gigantico, aptly named as 30+ pound 5 month old puppy, has already done some home jumping. He was surrendered, reclaimed, and then re-surrendered in just a month's time so Gigantico needs the chance to learn stability. He is a happy puppy who enjoys the company of other dogs and people, but needs a minute or two to warm up since he's been let down a couple of times. Gigantico has done beautifully on Doggie Day Out trips and at adoption events.
