Gidget's Story
Meet Gidget — affectionately called Giggy by her foster mom — a 3-year-old (DOB 7/06/2022) sweetheart with a quiet spirit and a heart full of love just waiting to be shared.

Gidget is a mellow, shy girl who blossoms with patience and kindness. Once she warms up, she’ll lean into you for pets, greet you at the door with a wag, and happily roll over for brushing (her favorite thing ever!). She listens beautifully, knows her name and “sit,” and has the gentlest soul — she even leans in when you wipe her eyes as if to say, “thank you.”

She gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and is also cat-friendly. While she hasn’t been around kids in her foster home, her previous owner shared that she was great with them.

Gidget’s past was a little sheltered — she had never worn a collar or leash before coming to rescue — but she’s learning fast! Her leash manners improve every day, and she’s doing well exploring stores and meeting new people (especially if they offer treats).

This lovely girl does have a small facial deformity that doesn’t slow her down one bit. The vet has recommended follow-up X-rays after adoption, just to keep an eye on it.

Because Gidget can dig and has shown some escape tendencies in the past, she’ll need a securely fenced yard and supervision outdoors. She’s shown great progress — since her last adventure, she’s stayed close and content — but a watchful, caring owner will help her continue to feel safe and confident.

Her ideal home is one filled with patience, reassurance, and love. Someone who will celebrate her gentle wins, help her discover the world at her own pace, and make her feel like she truly belongs.

Gidget is the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart — loyal, loving, and ready to become someone’s once-in-a-lifetime “heart dog.”

If you are interested in adopting, please complete and submit an adoption application.
