Gidget

Gidget is a total showstopper with a personality to match. This 50lb hound mix turns heads everywhere she goes with her beautiful white coat brushed with soft tan markings-an effortless, natural beauty. But she's not just a pretty face... Gidget is full of energy, curiosity, and a zest for life that makes every day more fun. Gidget is a country girl at heart though and her adventures are preferred in the woods or a backyard and not so much a city girl as the urban noise and hustle and bustle is not her thing. Do you like walks? Great! Exploring the world by your side? That's her dream. Gidget will thrive with an active family ready to channel her energy and continue helping her learn all the good things. Gidget would prefer a more mature household as, again chaos and noise is not really her thing. She does wonderfully with all of the dogs at the farm and has a medium energy level that will best match another dog who is mature and enjoys companionship without needing any WWF wrestling. Gidget is quiet in her crate and consistently keeps it spic and span.
With her bright spirit and inquisitive nature, Gidget brings excitement, companionship, and a whole lot of love. If you're looking for a stunning sidekick who will keep life interesting, Gidget is ready to go!
Gidget has been with us for a while by no fault of her own and we are really invested in finding her the best place to land. As a result, Gidget's adoption fee is waived for prior hosts, adopters and fosters looking for a best girl to add to their pack!

**Hiker feedback: " I had Gidget. She is absolutely wonderful, super friendly and lovable. She did great on the trail and enjoyed the walk.. She also liked being near or next to another dog on the hiking trail. I noticed she really likes treats as well. She had great energy walking on the trails and pulled me up the hills a few times where I was struggling a little bit. Love that dog and would definitely take her on another hike.
**Additional feedback: " She is so good with other dogs! She loves water - the clean and the dirty! She would be so fun to take on a full swimming adventure.
*Sleepover feedback: "Gidget loves her kibble/treats, any time she was being a bit shy all we had to do was encourage her with some treats and she was ready to go. Since we couldn't go out too much in the heat, one of the ways she burned some energy inside was with a snuffle mat and she loved it.
*Additional feedback: "Gidget is truly the sweetest thing and she is very intelligent. Likely she has had a hard life and is working on getting more comfortable/less scared of the world, but she is a real trooper. She is a sweet little soul and a great nap buddy! Once she gets her energy out she doesn't pull on the leash as much. She rides great in the car! . Her potty habits are good. No accidents and she goes to bathroom on walks! She ended up preferring being in my closet. She sleeps well in her little safe spaces.
*Gidget is a true gentle sweetheart and is just looking for a quite home to live out her golden years.
