Gidget is a 3 month old male shih tzu mix puppy and she weighs about 5 pounds. Gidget is still growing and could be 12-18 pounds when she is full grown, but we are unable to predict her adult weight. Gidget arrived in rescue after being from an accidental litter. She is an active puppy that will need a family up for all things puppyhood brings - leash training, house training, socialization and learning that flip flops are for feet, not food. She is very smart and very active and needs a family that will understand this, as well as her grooming needs. Her foster family says she has been so much fun to have as a foster puppy. Her foster mom says: Meet This Brave Little Girl! This sweet girl is discovering the world one little adventure at a time! She’s a brave, curious pup who is learning about herself, exploring her surroundings, and discovering just how strong and capable she can be. Her favorite things? Being close to her favorite people, spending time with other pups, enjoying the outdoors, and running around as she explores the world. She has a sweet, loving side and loves being near you, making her an adorable little companion who will happily keep you company. She’s still learning and growing, and she’ll need a family willing to give her the time, patience, encouragement, and guidance she needs to flourish. Potty training is still a work in progress, so she’ll need consistency, positive reinforcement, and lots of understanding as she learns. This little girl has so much potential, and it’s wonderful to watch her bravery and confidence emerge. She’s looking for a loving forever family who will celebrate her little victories, encourage her curiosity, and help her continue to blossom into the confident, happy pup she’s meant to be. She enjoys the company of other dogs, so a well-matched canine companion could be a wonderful addition to her new home!

Gidget is spayed, up to date on vaccines, on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped.

Gidget is fostered in the Orlando area and her adoption donation is $525. If you are interested in applying to adopt Gidget, please visit www.floridalittledogrescue.com to read the adoption process and complete an application! Please note that emails simply asking "Is this dog available" will not be returned, as applications are worked in the order received and availability largely depends on when you apply:) Please also know we do not adopt out of state! Thank you!
