Gia's Story
Approximate Age: 7.5 years
Approximate Weight: 58 lbs

Meet Gia: Playful, Easygoing, Affectionate!

Loyal Companion: Originally rescued from Puerto Rico in 2019, Gia has spent the last six years as a devoted family dog and is ready for a new start.
Household Pro: Has excellent house manners. Her foster mom says she is the easiest foster and fits right in at home!
Star Pupil: Brilliant girl with excellent house manners who is crate trained to the "kennel" command. Gia also knows her basic commands and happily offers her paw for treats.
Adventure Buddy: An expert traveler who is amazing in the car and loves everything from sunbathing and cuddling to energetic walks and outdoor adventures.
Social Butterfly: A friendly and energetic soul who likes to meet new people and bonds quickly. Gia balances her love for attention with happy, independent toy play.
Dog Friendly: She gets excited to see friends on walks and has the perfect temperament to quietly hang out with other dogs.
Kids Over 12 Years Old: Best suited for a home with older kids or adults-only. She has a bite record related to an incident with a toddler in her previous home (Gia does not like being jumped on or pinched while she is sleeping). Placement should reflect her need for appropriate boundaries and supervision. Gia has been wonderful with kids she has met at ODHS and in her foster home.

Gia will thrive with a knowledgeable, understanding adopter who can give her structure, love, and an environment where she can feel safe and relaxed.
