Gia's Story

Gia is a 7 month old Pomeranian who only weighs about 3 pounds! She came to us as an owner surrender through our vet clinic. She had jumped off her people’s bed and broke both of her front legs. The family did not have the ability to pay for the veterinary surgery to repair her legs, so we took her into rescue. We were able to arrange surgery to set and put a plate in each leg so that they could heal properly. She is now healed and through her recovery period, so she is taking applications to find her new family.

Gia is a very social little girl who loves people attention and lots of lap time. She is very small, so we are thinking that she would do best in an adult home, perhaps with a retired couple or someone who works from home. We also think that she would do best as an only dog, or with another tiny dog, just because of her small size. She does not bark, but will whine loudly when she gets hungry! She does fine when alone in her foster home, and is learning to sleep through the night. Because of her surgery and recovery, we are just starting her potty training.

Gia is spayed, she is up to date on her vaccinations (rabies, distemper and kennel cough), vet checked, and microchipped. If you would like to meet Gia, go to www.cominischnauzerrescue,com and complete the on-line adoption application. We cannot set up a “meet and greet” appointment until we have a completed application. We suggest that you print a copy of the application before you hit the “submit” button, just in case! We will give you a call to set up a time to bring Gia for a visit. If you have completed an adoption application within the last 12 months, or have previously adopted from Vintage Dog Rescue and would like to meet Gia, please let us know.
