**PLEASE READ GIA'S BIO THOROUGHLY BEFORE INQUIRING. ALL REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED.**



Gia is our gorgeous 4 year old female Terrier mix who is approximately 18lbs of adorableness! Gia came to us as an owner surrender who never spayed/neutered his pets and she ended up having a couple litters. He contacted us when he was overwhelmed with dogs and surrendered all 5 dogs to us. We have found them all amazing homes, but Gia is still looking for her happy ever after. This little lady LOVES to talk, boy does she love to talk. In rescue we call it "bark talking." She's a good listener though and minds well. We do not want Gia to go into a home that does not have another dog. She seems to only connect and do well with male dogs that are sweet like her. She is not great with bigger dogs, so a dog her size or smaller would be perfect! Although she is amazing with everyone she meets including children, we want her in a home with kids that are 12 years old or older. Gia can be a flight risk and she's fast so for her safety we are requiring a 3ft doggy gate at the front door inside the home as a preventative measure when the door is opened/closed. This is contractual regardless if you have a secure screen door or a fenced in front yard....a 3ft dog gate is required. Gia doesn't necessarily need a home with a yard, but please note that she is in a home now with a yard and outdoor access all day and she still goes potty in the house occasionally. It's not that she isn't potty trained, but she just needs constant work in that department. This sweet girl really needs a dog savvy home that is patient, kind, and loving and will give her all the time she needs to acclimate. She has been in foster for almost 2 years, so an adjustment to a new home is going to be very hard on her. Once she opens up to you and feels safe, you will see her true personality come out! She is a very loving girl who thrives for attention and LOVES to be next to you! You must be ok with allowing your pets on the furniture including the couch and your bed. We can't allow her to be crated. Gia had a very sad young life and we want to make sure that the rest of it is absolutely THE BEST!

For Gia, we are requiring at least 2 meet/greets before we even decide to go the next step. A meet/greet will be held in the Torrance area where everyone in the home including your dog will come down and spend some time with her to see if this could be a match.


WE ONLY ADOPT IN LOS ANGELES AND SURROUNDING AREAS AS AN IN PERSON HOME CHECK AND TRIAL PERIOD ARE REQUIRED.

Gia's adoption fee is $500



Gia is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.
