Ghost's Story

Ghost is a happy independent lady who LOVES food despite her lean figure. Although she has an independent nature, she loves being pet and if you start then she will push you to continue. In foster with 6+ dogs at any given time, she has shown greater interest in some dogs over others and can be annoying for those dogs (barking and constantly following them). I’m hopeful that her spay helps her relax and not pester certain dogs in the future. She is great with cats and doesn’t seem to even notice them most of the time. She gets excited about walks, is not a huge fan of stairs and would love a home where she doesn’t have many. The stairs and ramp at her fosters home have gotten to a manageable point but she would enjoy going outside more if there weren’t any. Housetraining has been difficult because she pees small amounts frequently (for no clear medical reason) and prefers to not use the stairs if she doesnt “have” to but she is great with puppy pads, so she keeps a clean house still. She has done well loose in the house overall and prefers to not be closed up. Her foster still has to close her up in the spare bedroom from time to time and she periodically barks and claws at the door but she is learning especially since she gets a nice treat. Ghost is very vocal so potential owners must be prepared for lots of grumbling and talking, but as long as you can acknowledge she is an old lady dealing with some pain and just looking for some patience and love, I think she will win your heart with her gentle woo woos.<br/>Ghost has severe spondylosis and is receiving Librela shots monthly. She is.doing very well on those.
