Gertrude's Story

Gertrude is a beautiful 2–3 year old Husky who is ready to leave her shelter days behind and find a family to call her own!

This sweet girl has a laid-back side and enjoys taking life at a more relaxed pace, but don't let that fool you! Every now and then, Gertrude gets a case of the zoomies and reminds everyone that she's still a Husky at heart! She's the perfect mix of chill and playful, with plenty of love to give to her future family.

Gertrude came to us with four puppies in tow, and her little family followed shortly behind her. Now that she's done her mama duties, it's time for Gertrude to find someone who will spoil **HER** for a change! She deserves a home where she can relax, feel safe, and enjoy being someone's beloved companion.

Now, we do have one important thing to mention about our girl: **Gertrude is a Husky, and Husky skills include finding creative ways to escape!** She's made a few attempts to break out of her enclosure here, although she hasn't been successful. Because of this, she'll need secure fencing that she cannot climb over or escape from. A safe, secure yard will be a must for this clever girl!

If you're looking for a sweet, loving companion who enjoys relaxing just as much as the occasional burst of silliness, Gertrude might be your girl!

**Come meet Gertrude and show this former mama that her next chapter can be all about her!**
