Gertie's Story

Meet Gertie

Gertie is a 10-month-old Dutch Shepherd/Lab mix with a heart as big as her smile. She is super sweet and loves all people, dogs, and cats. True to her puppy spirit, she’s a happy, go-lucky girl who enjoys playing and being part of the fun.

She is kennel trained, rides great in the car, and is an absolute rockstar at the vet. Gertie would thrive in a home with a yard, or in an apartment with owners committed to daily walks and mental stimulation.

Gertie is fully vetted, spayed, and up to date on vaccinations. She was heartbreakingly brought to a vet clinic to be euthanized after an irresponsible litter situation, but she was given a second chance, and she’s been proving every day that she deserves it.

Because Gertie is big, young, and enthusiastically happy, a home with tiny children is not recommended, as she could accidentally knock them over.

Gertie is ready for a loving home where she can finally settle in and be cherished forever.
Prior to meeting or adopting any of our wonderful animals, we ask that you please fill out our online application: https://form.jotform.com/223268341300041

We are a 100% volunteer organization and have to work other jobs to pay the bills. We understand there are some special cases and will take those into consideration.
