Meet sweet Gertrude aka Gertie; a senior little lady who came to us when she was showing severe signs of kennel stress at another local shelter. Gertie honestly just wants a person she can hang out with all day on the couch, go for rides in the car, nice walks. She is great with kids, ok with other dogs - she may not want to live with another dog, but she can be around them. She is suuuuper smart, she knows sit, paw, other paw, down, and speak! And she is has the cutest raspy bark!

RescueLove's Adoption Policy
Once the application has been received we will review it, if you own your own home we will verify so on the county website, if you rent or live with parents we will contact your landlord. We will contact your personal and veterinary (if applicable) references. Once the application has been approved, we will contact you to schedule a visit with the dog(s) you are interested in. All family members must come meet the dog, if you have dogs at home we will schedule a meet and greet. If everything goes well we will schedule a home visit, and then a go home meeting with one of our trainers.
