Gerry's Story

**AVAILABLE**

-Now accepting Applications-

Please be within 60-90 minutes of Delmar NY
(Exceptions are often made for distance. Applicants outside of our range are considered for special matches with breed experience and excellent vet history)

Gerry is a magnificent, tall, beautiful boy. Hes estimated to be around 2. Hes very calm, cool and collected in his calm and quiet foster home. He also has fun, playful energy.
Hes neutered, up to date on his core vaccinations, and neutered.

Gerry was spotted in his hometown roaming for a couple of weeks before he was taken in. It was discovered that he was heartworm positive and we treated him for it. He is through his rest period and is ready to find a home of his own.

Gerry has a slight bend in his muzzle and lip gets caught on his tooth. It makes him even more adorable. We arent sure if its caused by a past injury or very mild Wry face. It doesnt affect him physically in any way.
Gerry is sweet, loves his people, friendly meeting strangers, gets excited meeting dogs but friendly. Cats hes shown some fear by backing away, a lot of curiosity, but no meanness to them. We cant say for sure, so we recommend no cats as hes unfamiliar with them and cant determine how living with one long term would be. (We will continue to test him and expose him.)

Gerry has learned to walk like a pro on leash, crate trained, potty trained, rides well in the car and is an all around great boy. He will make a wonderful companion.

***Please have German Shepherd experience, and have the time, patience and willingness to train and acclimate a shepherd into your routine, lifestyle and home***

If you think Gerry could be your match, please visit our website and read through our frequently asked questions section, rather than asking questions in the comments.
If you still have questions after reviewing the website, please send us an email from the website link.

Please carefully read through our adoption process on our website to see if youd like to proceed with adopting from our organization.

www.GSRNY.org

Please also consider checking out our local shelters.
