Thankfully, she’s now safe in foster care where she’s slowly learning what love, patience, and kindness truly feel like<br/>Gertie is incredibly sweet and gentle, She gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats, and would do well with a calm, confident canine companion—or even as a solo pup in the right home<br/>She’s still figuring out the basics of being a dog. Walks can be a little overwhelming, so she prefers to go at her own pace, she’s about 80% house trained and will use a pee pad when needed, but is still learning how to tell her people when she needs to go outside.<br/>The world is still a scary place for Gertie, and she hasn’t fully come out of her shell just yet—but the progress she’s made in just a month is truly heartwarming.
