Gerald's Story

Are you tired of the mundane and want more surprises in your life? Meet Gerald! This 5 year old porcupine mix is ready to keep you on your toes. Gerald loves his belly rubbed and snuggling... until he doesn't and he'll let you know, suddenly and seemingly out of nowhere (Jump Scare!). Gerald loves to play with toys and loves food, but don't expect him to share, it's all his. Gerald is a very friendly guy and does have amazing qualities, however he throws tantrums much like a toddler in a toy store and we just can't figure out exactly why he's upset. Is it the texture of the grass? Did you pet the wrong hair? Did the toy leave a bad taste? Or did he just not learn how to appropriately say 'I love you'?

While Gerald flirts and plays with you, asking you to throw his toys or rub his belly, he may actually be secretly plotting his next move against you. While he seems all cuddly and cute on the outside, his little brain tells him to use his mouth for everything... including your hands and arms. Gerald is 80% sweet puppy dog, and about 20% feral gremlin that you shouldn't feed after midnight. He may have you questioning your life decisions, but before you can change your mind, he's a sweet cuddly teddy bear again.

I don't have a history of living with dogs but have met dogs while in the shelter. I may need a slow introduction.
I don't have a history of living with cats, so I may need a slow introduction.
I am looking for a home with teens/adults.
