Georgie girl's Story

Georgie is a 1.5 year old 50 pound pitty and lab mix girl who tested Heartworm positive when she came to us. She underwent treatment in a loving foster home with one of our employees (thanks Anna!) It's been a long road but now she is officially HEARTWORM NEGATIVE, spayed, and ready for her new loving home!

We dont know much about what Georgie had to endure before her time with us, but we do know she was rescued by an individual when she was very pregnant. This person took care of Georgie and her babies until they were old enough to find homes through Marion Animal Resource Connection.

Georgie has shown that she can be timid in new situations but she really came out of her shell during her time in foster care,.She often gets the "tippy tappy" toes, wiggly body, and talks to them when they come home. She is gentle when she takes treats from your hand and will even shake for it. While on treatment for heartworms, Georgie had to limit her activity, so she is perfectly crate trained, leash trained, and house trained. We are very excited that she can now partake in group walks and run around the yards as she deserves every bit of this joy!

Since Georgie is still learning to be brave, we think a calm and patient household would be best for her.

We're open Wednesday - Sunday 12 - 5 p.m.

The adoption fee is $135 which includes a free veterinary exam within 2 weeks of adoption at local participating vets, up to date vaccinations, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, dewormer, flea preventative, microchip, & spay or neuter.

If you are interested in this pet, please fill out our ADOPTION APPLICATION at https://goo.gl/forms/9FdDBiPU5aa5ySTv1

Visit our website at www.PetPlacementCenter.com
