Georgie's Story
Georgie is a one-year-old French Bulldog. He came to us as an owner surrender and, sadly, had a very rough start. Georgie had never been taken outside by his previous owners, so he had no understanding that potty time happens outdoors. When he first arrived, he was extremely overwhelmed—having frequent accidents on couches, blankets, and dog beds, suffering from severe separation anxiety, and vomiting after eating or drinking.

With veterinary care, patience, and a whole lot of love from his foster family, Georgie has made huge progress. The excessive vomiting has been addressed by his veterinarian, and he is now doing much better with a specific food too. He has learned how to do his business on walks and is calmer when left alone, especially when soft, calming music is playing.

Georgie still wears a belly wrap, as he may have accidents—particularly overnight—but he continues to improve with routine and consistency. Because of this, we are looking for a family that understands potty training is a process and will not give up on him during occasional setbacks.

Despite his rough start, Georgie is incredibly sweet and social. He loves people and wants to say hello to everyone he meets on walks. He gets along well with other dogs, though he doesn’t show much interest in playing—he’s more of a people-loving companion. He knows a few basic commands like sit and paw, and he is especially bonded to his foster dad, staying glued to his side whenever possible. This also tells us that Georgie is great with men.

Georgie will do best in a home with experienced owners who understand brachycephalic breeds. Prior experience with French Bulldogs, English Bulldogs, or Pugs is required. As with many Frenchies, his future family should also be prepared for the possibility of nostril (nares) surgery to help improve his breathing.

Georgie’s ideal home:

Breed experience with Frenchies, English Bulldogs, or Pugs (required)

Patience and understanding with potty training progress

A calm, loving environment

Commitment to his ongoing care and breed-specific needs

Georgie is a reminder of how much a dog can blossom when given kindness and stability. He is not perfect—but he is loving, resilient, and truly trying his best. We are looking for a family who will see his progress, not just his past, and give him the forever home he deserves 🤍

Interested in adopting Georgie?
Please complete an adoption application on our website and follow the steps outlined in our adoption process.
