Georgie's Story
Georgie is about 2 years old and is a bundle of energy. He is a little nervous with new people but warms up quickly. He would do best as the only dog in the home so he can get all of the attention for himself. Georgie has been known to snap at people in certain scenarios. We call this a spicy chihuahua. We are able to work with his temperament at the shelter, but his new family should be prepared to work with him on this as well. He will make up for that by being the cutest, smartest and most playful little guy.

*House-Trained/Potty Trained: Please note that this pet currently lives in a shelter environment. Most of our pets come to us with no history. We believe this pet is house-trained or very close to being house-trained, but we cannot say for certain. Any new rescue pet will likely have accidents in the first few days or weeks as they learn their new environment and begin to understand their new schedule. If being house-trained upon adoption is a deal breaker for you or if you aren’t willing to give your new pet grace during this transition period, this may not be the pet for you and we would recommend searching for a pet that is in a foster home where you have more feedback on their habits in a home.

If you are interested in meeting Georgie, please submit an application on our website at https://www.rainingcatsanddogsshelter.com/adoption. Our adoption coordinator will reach out to you by email. Please check your spam and junk folders.

Our rescue is 100% volunteer. Many of our volunteers have full time jobs so please be patient with us. It could take up to a week for us to get back to you. Thank you for your patience.
