Georgia 's Story
Meet Georgia, She and her siblings were found at a dumpsite in Kentucky. Thankfully the owners found them and called rescue. I will never understand how someone could abandon these little ones. They were 6 weeks old when HART took them in. According to our vet. Georgia is almost 4 months old. Birthday is December 10,2025 as determined by our vet. She currently weighs about 13 lbs. and guessing she will be 25 lbs. full grown. And of course guessing on breed, dachshund. Her body is long and her legs are short.

She’s coming along great with potty training. Only an occasional accident. She will need to go out often. One that note, she loves it outside. Would stay out all day if you let her. She will come if called but, if she found a toy or stick she will run from you thinking you’re going to take it from her. I do require a fence for adoption. She will run forever. Another dog in the family would be great also to release all that energy. Been around children of all ages and other dogs of all sizes. Just thinks everyone wants to play. She does get a little carsick, hopefully she will grow out of it. Totally quiet all night in her crate . If you’re interested in meeting Georgia, submit an application and someone will contact you. Do your research on dachshund breed. They were bred for hunting rabbits. Very energetic.

All HART dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccines, including bordatella and rabies. They are heartworm tested and on preventative for heartworm, fleas, and ticks. If you are interested in any of our pets, you must complete an online dog adoption application at www.rescueAhart.org . The application will put you in touch with this wonderful dog's foster family so you can schedule a meeting. Thanks!
