Georgia's Story

I'm Georgia, my friend, a 4-year-old Boxer/Shepherd mix–and a beautiful one, I'm told. Will you please foster me while I wait for my lifetime friend? If you fall in love with me, however, I'll happily love you forever.

While wandering through the grasses, I love to hum old country tunes, even carve out additional verses. Nothing goes better with belly scratches than a little Georgia/Chicken Jerky on my Mind!

Other arms reach out to me (nothing to see here, bee)

Other eyes smile tenderly (are you almost back from Trader Joe's?)

Still in peaceful dreams, I see

The road leads back to you (and chicken jerky!?)

Yes, it's true, I'm a bit of a diva for Trader Joe's chicken jerky. All's fair in love and treats! And while I take a beat to meet and greet, once I get to know you, I'll shower you with kisses. That's my signature move, actually. Snack or no snack, the biggest treat is time with you.

With my rich brindle coloring and contemplative, bemused perspective, the best of both breeds finds me gently curious with a warm, willing disposition. I amble about to sniff the flowers, trot toward you to check in, and then roll onto my side to perfect my yard or meadow tan. While my eyes see all, my soft gaze sets people at ease.

Spending cherished time in our rescue family's home base, “The Yard,” I inspected a hedge, poked around some bark, smiled at a squirrel and cocked my head at a bird or two. And then, I stretched out beside my volunteer, lay my head in her lap, and assumed the ‘scratch me now' position. It worked! Wherever I go, may all roads lead to belly rubs.

With you, your lap, and sunshine on my mind,

Georgia

********PLEASE READ BELOW PRIOR TO EMAILING IN**********

If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other from our rescue, please go to https://www.hobocare.org/adopt to review our home requirements and fill out an application.
