Georgia

Meet Georgia! Georgia is a 12-year-old, 8.2 lbs female Maltese. Georgia is a happy and loving lady who is looking for a calm hospice, retirement home to spend the rest of her days in...however many there may be. Sadly, Georgia's owner passed away but you can tell how much she loved and spoiled this little lady. Georgia does have a grade 3 of 4 luxating patella in her right knee and a grade 1 of 4 in her left - she is not experiencing any lameness at this time. Georgia did have to have several teeth removed during her dental and is happy about getting to be on a canned food diet now! Georgia does have a hard time controlling her bowels and bladder, she hasn't lost complete control yet but that may happen with time. This special lady will need an adopter who is able to provide a space that can accidents can easily be cleaned up. She has never worn a doggy diaper but we do have some that we are more than happy to send home with her new family! Despite her age and health, she is a VERY happy girl who still has a zest for life. We are sure if she will have days, weeks, or months.

The adoption fee is $0. This includes the spay, dental cleaning, microchip, heartworm test, wellness bloodwork, fecal flotation and all core vaccines.

If you are interested in adopting Georgia, please e-mail adoptions@thelovepetproject.org with "Georgia" in the subject. Please also tell us about yourself and your household.
