George & Gracie's Story

George (M) and Gracie (F) 11-year-olds in Sarasota, Florida.

Sometimes love isn't enough to keep beloved Bichons safe, and a family is forced to make the hardest decision of all. George and Gracie are losing their home because their devoted mom is battling brain cancer and can no longer care for them safely. They are bonded littermates who have been inseparable since birth and will only be adopted together. They adore each other and bring out the best in one another.

George is a happy, active, curious 15.8lb boy who does not act his age for a second. If you toss a ball, hell play fetch 24/7, 365 days a year.

Gracie is a 15.6lb classy little lady who prefers to curl up in your lap, soak up cuddles, and keep an eye on her silly brother from a comfy spot nearby while collecting all the love she can get.

Both pups are spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations. They will need to be fully vetted and Gracie will likely need to be scheduled for a dental. BFCACT will cover these costs. They love all people and have always been gentle, patient, and affectionate with young children including their mom's grandbabies, ages two and four. They also do well with other dogs, though we don't believe they have experience with cats.

We are told they are housetrained, though like all dogs entering a new environment, they may need a brief refresher. They adore their walks and, at this lovely stage of Bichon life are still curious, active, and still adorable.
They are just as happy to settle in for quiet time with their humans. Though they love their walks, a secure, fenced in yard is required.

George and Gracie share a beautiful bond and would love to spend their golden years together in a home filled with love, comfort, and plenty of fetch sessions for George and cozy lap time for Gracie.

This is your chance to make a meaningful difference for two gentle souls who simply need a safe place to land and a second chance at forever. Please consider adopting them today.

To be considered for adoption, please submit our application at https://www.bichonrescue.org/adoption
