George's Story

George is an energetic 2 year old neutered male. George will need an active household that likes long walks and outdoor activities. He loves fetch and running in the yard with whatever prize he has found. He truly is curious about all things and views new challenges or things openly.

George is good with children however with his zest for life I would suggest older children aged 10 and up. He is not always aware of his size and body. George can be slow to new people especially if he can’t get a good look at your face. Hoodies are a worry for him.

George is learning how to walk nicely on a leash. He does like to zig zag on walks but listens well. He has learned the command down ie off of people or objects and stairs. George is learning sit and stay. He kennels at night, suggestion is that you allow him quiet time before you put him in. If he feels he is missing out on something he will let you know. (Whines)

George paces his eating and has no food aggressions or issues sharing toys. He takes baths and any medications with ease. Cheese is the road to all easy training. He loves all the attention.

George does have a High prey drive so we suggest no cats or other small pets. This also means George chases anything in the yard that catches his attention.

George is being fostered in Aldie, VA – if interested in learning more, please fill out an adoption application at http://mdgsprescue.org/adoption-application
