George's Story

Meet George!!!

He is a 4-month-old bundle of fun and the brother of Maven and Gigi. The three were found on the side of the road and them dumped at a veterinarian office. Before we could get to them, George was given away. We were heartbroken. A few weeks later one of our volunteers so George being given away for free online. Of course we had to get him and that's exactly what she did! George became safe with us that day, just like he should have always been.

This handsome little guy is everything you’d expect from a typical boy puppy—mischievous, silly, clever, and always ready to turn everyday life into an adventure. Whether he’s off exploring, making you laugh with his goofy antics, or soaking up snuggles, George sure knows how to steal the spotlight!

He’s a smart cookie who is doing great with both pee pad training and potty training, and he’s learning more every day. George has a playful spirit, a curious mind, and a sweet, snuggly side that makes him just as lovable as he is entertaining. He’s also a bit of a “collector” and loves to find toys and little treasures to carry back to his bed or safe space to keep for himself.

George is kid and dog-friendly, and would likely do fine in a home with cats, since he is still young enough to learn and does not show a high prey drive.

Expected to top out around 30–40 pounds, George is a great size for someone looking for a fun-loving adventure buddy who won’t get too big.

If you’re looking for a puppy who will keep you smiling, keep you on your toes, and fill your home with fun- George is the right pup for you!

If you are interested in adopting this handsome boy, please visit our website, ww.safewithusanimalrescue.org to fill out an application!

Safe With Us Animal Rescue, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
Thank you for taking the time to consider adopting one of our dogs! Our process for adopting one of our dogs starts with filling out our adoption application. Please take time doing this because it gives us a better understanding of who you are and what type of dog may fit your family. Once your adoption application is completed, our adoption coordinator will reach out to you. Please understand that we are an all-volunteer rescue, so it may take up to 72 hours for you to receive a response. We will get back to you, we promise! Once you hear from our adoption coordinator, you can expect to schedule a home visit. This is a mandatory part of our process, but only takes about a half hour of your time. During this time, we will discuss ways to welcome your new family member into your home and review improvements that may help make the transition an easy one. Please note that completing the application and home visit process, does not mean that you are obligated to adopt with us. It just means that you are working through the process to be approved for a new family member. If we do not have a furry friend that interests you right now, don’t worry! Unless there are changes with your family and/or home, this process will not have to be repeated. ***Please note, at this time our dogs may only be adopted by Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Connecticut residents.
