George's Story

Meet George!
George is a 7-year-old neutered Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix with the sweetest one-eyed wink you'll ever see. He's UTD on vaccinations and recently had an eye removal, but it certainly hasn't dimmed his charm.

This handsome little guy may have packed on a bit of “Turkey Weight” over the holiday season, and he's hoping to find a workout partner who enjoys leisurely walks and cheering on small victories. George isn't naturally motivated—he'd honestly prefer to snuggle on the couch and supervise your tasks instead of hitting the treadmill—but with a patient buddy by his side, he's ready to get back into shape.

George is truly the perfect senior-companion type of dog. Calm, loyal, affectionate, and happiest simply being near his person.

Adoption Fee: $200

If you're looking for a mellow best friend with a heart of gold (and one adorable wink), George might just be your guy.

Furry Farm Rescue, established in 2017, is a foster home style rescue group in North Idaho. The Furry Farm Rescue's Adoption Policy
When you see an animal you would like to find out more about and meet, please go fill out our adoption application to start the process. Our adoptions are not first come first served, but a match of the needs of the animal with the best potential adopter. You can expect to hear from us within a week or two after submitting your application. With review of your application, we conduct a phone interview, check references, and speak to your veterinarian. During that process we will also schedule a time for you to come meet and get to know your new furry friend. If you have other animals, we will want to do intros at that time. We then ask you to take a few days to think about it and let us know. Next, we come to your house and do a last meet and greet before finalizing the adoption. All adopters sign a contract with the Furry Farm Rescue. All of our adoptions come with a 2 week trial period for dogs, and 1 week for cats. This allows you and your new furry friend some time to bond and decide if this is a forever family. Our Adoption fees vary between $50 to $275 for dogs, and cats are $40 to $60. Each pet’s fee will be listed in their biography.
