He still has plenty of great years ahead of him and is ready to find a family to share them with. His foster says Gentry has been an absolute pleasure. He's a terrific walking buddy who stays right by your side, ignores squirrels, and politely greets other dogs. He also did great at the dog park and has wonderful manners wherever he goes. After spending so much time in the shelter, Gentry is learning commands from the beginning, but he's incredibly smart and catching on quickly. He sleeps soundly through the night on his dog bed, is quiet around the house, and isn't bothered by loud noises or busy surroundings. <br/> If you're looking for a loyal, easygoing companion to join you on walks and spend time by your side, gentle Gentry is your guy. Apply today!<br/><br/>Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. <br/><br/>Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet. <br/><br/>Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
