Hi, my name is Gene. I am a male Shih tzu mis around 3 to 5 years old and I weigh 14 lbs. I was seized in a cruelty case where there were 80 plus other dogs living in inhumane cages with not a lot of socialization or Love. We were infested with parasites and fleas and many were badly matted that many had no fur from scratching. It was horrible place for all. I have been with rescue for some time now as I am very timid and shy and do not show well. I have made a lot of progress in my foster home but if you adopt me which I hope you will, I will need a lot of patience and love to build trust with you. I love other dogs as that is the only life I knew but people were not something until now, that I had a good experience with. My foster can cuddle and love me now, so the rescue knows the potential is there, I just need a special human to teach me to love them too! A home with another dog to teach me the ropes of being part of a family is required as is a fully fenced yard.
