Gemma's Story

Hi friends! I'm Gemma! In my previous home, they called me Stella! I might respond to that a little better. I came to Animal Services in pretty rough shape with very infected eyes along with a pesky eye tumor. The infections have cleared up with some eye ointment, and the kind folks at GRHS have scheduled surgery to remove my tumor (and likely my whole left eye) while I am spayed later in April. This means I'm not quite available for adoption yet, but I would love a quiet foster home where I can settle in while recovering from surgery and wait until I find my furever home!

I used to live with another dog, but I would love a chance to have a meet and greet with any dogs in your home prior to going home with you. I don't think I want to be in a furever home with cats. They look a lot like toys and sometimes I can get a little too excited when I see them! If I am being fostered in a home with cats, it would be important to have the ability to keep me separate from them during my stay.

Are you able to foster me while I heal from surgery?
