Gee's Story
Meet Gee

10 years old Neutered Male American Eskimo 22 lbs

Gee never expected to be looking for a new family at 10 years old.

His world changed forever when the person he loved most passed away. Through tears, his family entrusted him to our care with one simple wish... that we find him another home where he will be loved just as deeply.

We promised we would.

Despite losing everything familiar, Gee still greets people with a gentle heart and a wagging tail. He loves toys, enjoys his walks, and is happiest when he's close to the people he loves.

Because of everything he's been through, Gee struggles with separation anxiety. He misses having someone by his side and would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the day. He isn't a fan of being kenneled for long, but he does tolerate short periods when needed.

Gee gets along well with other dogs, does great with kids, but would prefer a home without cats.
Senior dogs have a way of loving with their whole hearts. They don't ask for much... just a soft place to rest, a favorite toy, a daily walk, and someone to love for the rest of their days.

Gee has already experienced the heartbreak of saying goodbye to the person he loved most. Let's not make him spend his golden years wondering if he'll ever belong again.

If you have room in your heart and your home, Gee is waiting to give you a lifetime's worth of unconditional love.

If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact individuals as they appear on the list.

The adoption fee is $95 and you receive certificates for $50 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies vaccine if not already done. All dogs are heartworm tested, receive a DHLPP, flea and tick treatment, and are dewormed.
