Gecko's Story
How this pet arrived: Gecko was brought in by a community member on December 2, 2025. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Gecko, a young and energetic pup who's ready to stick by your side! Gecko can be shy around new faces and places, but has a playful and affectionate personality that is just waiting to shine. He will need continued positive guidance as he builds confidence and learns that the world isn't so scary. Because he's nervous, low-pressure interactions are a must - let him approach on his own terms and watch him slowly open up. Gecko thrives with regular playdates with another dog in our care, and may benefit from living with another dog-social canine companion. He'll do best in a home without young children (under 8) and we request that all family members be present for the introduction. With time, patience and lots of gentle encouragement, this sweet little Gecko will crawl right into your heart! At SDHS:Gecko has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. Gecko is now ready for his new home! Shy/Fearful Dog: Gecko requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about him. Primary Color: Black Weight: 38.4lbs Age: 0yrs 9mths 1wks Animal has been Neutered
