Gatsby's Story

Meet Gatsby!
Gatsby is an absolute bundle of sweetness, curiosity, and puppy mischief looking for his forever family!

Gatsby is playful, affectionate, incredibly curious, and very people-oriented. He loves cuddling and is happiest when he's close to his people. He's also a very smart little guy who loves having a job to do—and thankfully, he's extremely food motivated, which makes training a lot of fun!

Gatsby's favorite activities include fetch, tennis balls, bones, exploring, and carrying his toys around. He has an adorable habit of collecting his favorite things and bringing them to cozy, den-like spaces. He's also discovered the joys of digging, zoomies, and occasionally "reorganizing" the household belongings when he gets bored!!

Gatsby is great with kids and loves interacting with them. Like any young puppy, he's still learning appropriate greetings and is working on jumping, puppy nibbles, and what is—and isn't—a chew toy. He's also making good progress with potty training and will need his forever family to continue with consistent, positive training.
Gatsby is still a little nervous around unfamiliar dogs, so he'll benefit from slow, positive socialization and respectful introductions. Gatsby is a quick learner and, like any puppy, needs to continue to build confidence and independence.

Gatsby will thrive with a family who wants an active, engaged companion and is ready for the fun—and work—of raising a smart puppy. Like any puppy, he will need:
*Training and mental enrichment
* Daily play and age-appropriate exercise
* Plenty of affection and companionship
*Appropriate outlets for his digging and curiosity
* Continued socialization and confidence-building
* Patience and consistency through puppyhood and adolescence
In return, Gatsby has an enormous amount of love to give. He's smart, funny, cuddly, adventurous, affectionate, and full of personality. He has all the makings of an amazing family dog and lifelong companion.
Gatsby doesn't need a perfect family—he needs a committed one who will teach him, love him, keep him busy, and laugh at his antics along the way.
If you would to meet Gatsby, please visit spotslaststsop.org and fill out an application.
