Gator's Story
Meet Gator, a 1-year-old shepherd mix with the heart of a marshmallow and the confidence of a squirrel at a rave. This handsome boy is a special case-he's been in foster care for about 5 months, and while he's made some huge strides (he now believes humans aren't all terrifying giants), he's still a bit skeptical about this whole "touch" thing. Pets? Hmm, maybe later. Hugs? Let's not get crazy. Gator is looking for someone with lots of love, endless patience, and preferably a stash of treats to bribe him into trusting your weird human ways. He may not be a snuggler yet, but he's a quiet, gentle soul who will make you feel like a dog whisperer every time he takes a step forward. Think of him as your very own emotionally complex rescue project-with adorable ears.

---------------------------------------------------
Happy Little Rescue, located in Grand Junction, Colorado, is a unique animal shelter. Our dogs spend their days frolicking in an open play area with the other dogs, and therefore have a good level of dog-dog socialization.

We prefer to adopt our animals locally, but are open to discussing out-of-state adoptions for our longer-term residents, or harder-to-place pets.

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out the adoption application here:

https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/COLO/Dog

If you have further questions about a specific animal, or would like advice finding the perfect match for you, contact us here:

HarmonyGJCO@gmail.com
970-424-8224
