Gary's Story

Gary is the ultimate package! This sweet middle aged cutie came to us from the island of St. Croix, after a volunteer offered to sponsor a flight for him to come here to the Carolinas. Gary is a man of many faces. On the one hand, he is sweet, chill, cuddly, and inquisitive. On the other hand, he is a guy who loves running outside, playing ball, and is extra nosey about where his family is at all times (definitely a little shadow). A favorite activity for him is retrieving balls in the backyard and taking a nice long nap afterwards.

Gary is housetrained, sleeps cuddled up in bed all night (he lets you be the alarm clock), and loves the company of other dogs. Initially a kitty chaser, he has responded well to consistent redirection. He currently lives comfortably with multiple cats, and we think his forever family would be fine to have cats as long as they are dog savvy and can tolerate his initial dramatics. Even though he has not shown any destructive tendencies around the house, Gary is currently in the process of crate training. He doesn't love his crate, but will settle after a few minutes. Gary is little guy with a big personality, who has won the hearts of everyone in his foster home. We can't wait for him to score his happily ever after with the perfect for him forever family.

---
To apply to adopt, please follow the steps for adoption on HalfwayThereRescue.com/Adoption-Process and apply directly here: https://fs26.formsite.com/htrnp/a2k3lsooud/index.html
