Meet Gary! <br/><br/>Gary is a 1-year-old neutered male Great Dane who has already been through more in his young life than any dog should have to endure. When Gary was found as a stray, he was limping badly. After extensive testing, he was diagnosed with septic arthritis, and what followed were months of treatment, recovery, and a whole lot of determination.<br/><br/>Recently, Gary underwent a scope procedure at The Ohio State University to clean out the affected joint. He has worked incredibly hard through his recovery and is now finishing up his crate rest. His leg is currently healthy and he is doing well, but because of the chronic injury to that leg, there is a possibility that he could develop an ACL tear in the future. His adopters will need to understand and be prepared for that possibility.<br/><br/>But don’t let Gary’s medical history fool you—this boy is ready to get back to being a DOG! <br/><br/>Gary is housebroken, crate trained, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. He absolutely loves to play with other dogs, and he has a hilarious habit of carrying his favorite stuffy around like it’s his prized possession.
