Gary's Story

Gary is a sweet 2-year-old boy who was found stray. He was named after the man who found him and got this handsome boy to HBHR.
Gary’s house manners have been good from the start. He is not a marker and leaves things alone that do not belong to the pack! He learned to use the dog door quickly and sleeps in an open kennel when in need of a nap.
Gary loves to be out hunting for squirrels. He interacts with his pack mates and will join in on a chase or wrestling match, but nothing keeps him from his patrol duty for long. He has a low pitched, deep bark when a critter has been sighted. He is the one who lets everyone know that it is time to run to the back yard!!
Gary has been fighting an ear infection for the last 3 months. All tests are negative for bacterial infection. He will need his ears cleaned once a week to keep the yeast from getting out of control. Gary also tested positive for heart worms. He is being treated with Advantage Multi and will come with 8 months of preventatives.
Gary loves the attention of visitors. He will often take time out of his busy workday to sit on a bench and get in some quality loving. He will make a wonderful dog for any family that has a yard with trees and squirrels!
